I want to offer photography service to my clients, how can I use KiteLens to do it?
The platform is specifically made for this purpose. As a school you can register to unlock these options:
1) Advertise KiteLens at the spot so that students, surfers and potential photographers
(amateurs and professionals) are aware of it. Send us an email so we can send you all the marketing
material needed for free. The school will earn a commission (which you set yourself) for every shot sold at their spot.
2) In addition to option 1 you can tell all your instructors and employees that they can
earn extra money, and make students happy, by taking photos and videos of them.
This can either be during a lesson, or an off-day of an employee. This is a great way to earn extra money while working
at a school. Usually photographers of this sort earn between 50-250$ per day. In addition the school will earn the commission it has set for each sale.
3) Get a photographer who has the only responsibility of doing this job. They can either
have their own account and earn their share, while the school will still earn its configured commission, or
use the school account and the school will earn 90%.

Yes, there is a minimum payout threshold for surf schools to receive their earnings from KiteLens, but it is
not a fixed amount. Instead, the threshold depends on the transfer fee charged by Wise, our payment provider.
Wise typically charges:
- A fixed fee (e.g. for EUR bank accounts approximately €0.50), and
- A percentage-based fee (e.g., 0.5% of the amount)
Therefore, the payout must be larger than the combined transfer fee.
But be sure that the bank account connected is compatible with Wise - visit the

and attempt to add your bank account. You will immediately know if it's accepted or if there is an error!

photos uploaded on the platform?
The ownership of photos uploaded on KiteLens remains with the
photographer until they are sold. Upon purchase, ownership is
transferred to the buyer, who must confirm their identity to finalise the transaction.
Can surf schools track the performance and sales of their uploaded
photos on KiteLens?
Yes, surf schools can track the performance of their uploaded content
through a professional dashboard. They can monitor sales, the number
of photos uploaded, earnings, and other relevant statistics.
Are there any fees or costs associated with participating as a surf
school on KiteLens?
There are NO fees or costs associated with participating in KiteLens
for surf schools. There is all to win and nothing to lose!
What happens if a buyer requests a refund for a purchased photo or
video?
If a buyer requests a refund within a short period, it will be
processed. Otherwise, the buyer will receive a voucher for future
purchases from KiteLens.
Can KiteLens operate anywhere in the world?
Yes, KiteLens operates globally. Surf schools can specify their location, and they have the
flexibility to update their location over time to accommodate seasonal or itinerant schools.
